dvd player problems in tiger

this is the only real problem i have found so far.

basically i made an upgrade install of tiger this afternoon, the dvd player worked this morning, and after i installed tiger it 'unexpectidly quits' when i play a dvd!

any ideas?

Mine doesn't quit but it does play very distorted and broken visuals, the audio seems to be ok but maybe a jump now and again. 😕


edit. btw the DVD discs I tested with play fine in VLC, so it has to be the DVD app itself rather than Quicktime.
