Are the dvd player and iDVD one and the same or are they two separate pieces of software???? I think the later. Are there any controls within the DVD Player that would allow me to choose a specific time on the dvd I'm watching to play from?? I have some family vcr tapes that were made into dvd's. They are basically one chapter without separation. I know I can fast foreward, but I'd like to go directly to the time as I do know what's where on the dvd. My home DVD's can do it, but I don't know if that is a feature on the dvd player in OSX??

Thanks.

Frank

DVD Player is for (funny enough) playing DVDs. iDVD is for making your own DVDs. They have no relation.

Apart from setting chapter marks in iMovie that gets transfered to iDVD (or if iDVD can do this step, haven't used it enough to be certain), then you can manually input a time in DVD player.

Press Command+Option+0 (numeric zero) and enter time in H:M:S.
