Does anybody know if the old TiBooks will read DVD-RAM discs? I have a friend who has some stuff on a DVD-RAM disc that I want to look at but before I borrow it from him, I want to know if it will even read it. I know for certain that it won't write to them because it won't even write a regular DVD.

I assume we're talking about DVD-RAM media that doesn't have a caddy, but I'd lean toward no. Older drives (in my experience) don't do well with the not-so-reflective surface of those, so there's a good chance it won't recognize the disc.

Then again, I could be wrong.
