DVD reading causes clicking sounds every time 2MB is transferred..

I have a Macbook Pro 13" that I bought over the summer of 2010 and just recently, when I've been trying to copy big data files over from my DVD the disc can be heard moving/clicking every second. Furthermore, the copy rate is incredibly slow (about 30 minutes for a 2GB file). If I take this to Apple it should be covered under my 1 year warranty right?
