Is it possible to Rip a DVD so that it plays in Full Screen Mode (Maybe Stretch Mode). I have a 52" Wide Screen TV (Visio). The TV does have Zoom Mode but I don't like Zoom Mode. My Cable Box has Normal, Stretch and Zoom. I have it set to Stretch.

I don't like the black bars on the top and on the sides.

I have tried a couple of DVD Rippers but it at least shows the black bars on the top and bottom.

My goal is to create a library of my DVD's to be played on AppleTV.

Actually I have not played the DVD's recently so I can't remember if the DVD Player had a Stretch Mode or not.

I have a DVD that came with a "Digital Copy" that I installed in iTunes and then played on the AppleTV. It was perfect. There was an album cover with details about the movie and it played full screen. This is ideally what I would like to do with my DVD Collection.

    Can this be done?
