DVD-RW Restoring back up files issue

Hello All,

novice Mac user OS X tiger

i backed up some files using the Super Drive, PowerMac G5,
i can't seem to restore it, "The Disk BackUp Files could not be mounted" I used First Aid,
4.4 GB Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-117D
(does not show in the desktop as well)
i checked CD's & DVD's in systems pref it seems to be ok

have no clue how to restore it, i can see the backup files on my (G4 OS 9) but not on this machine PowerMac G5 (OS X Tiger)

please advice?
