I was trying to install *eh ehm* Leopard on my dad's Mac Pro.

I am trying to install it via DVD and when the Computer boots up it just sits there with the grey screen and the spinny circle. Forever.

I have tried all the keyboard commands to force eject the DVD on startup, but nothing helped (probrably because I have a wireless keyboard, but it worked on bootup commands before).

is there any way to physically (force) open the DVD Drive? I tried sticking a paper clip down that little hole on the left side too.

Haha, any help is appreciated. Thanks

Have you tried holding down the mouse button while starting up?

The paperclip method still works, but it's kind of tricky.

But you mainly want to start from the DVD again, to finish the install... Try resetting the PRAM a few times, hold command-option-P-R while rebooting (wait for the chime 5 or 6 times before releasing). Then hold down 'c' to force startup from the disc.
