Hello guys.

Ok, so I have a MacPro 2.8ghz Octo with an Apple compact wireless keyboard. Now, the problem is odd. I cannot get the DVD tray to open. I hit the eject button on the keyboard and it won't open. I hold it down. Won't open. It doesn't even show the Eject symbol on the screen.

But the eject key works, because I can send the MacPro to sleep with the right combo of keys, and shut it down with the right combo keys too.

I had this issue when I did a clean install of 10.6, now updated to 10.6.2, I thought the problem was gone, till it redeveloped. I'm thinking of downing to 10.5 as it seemed more stable, at least to me.

So, any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

I just had to press the whole box with the CD/DVD-device more in sideways at its front. Then it opened. It was a mechanical obstruction of some kind ... But I am not able to open the DVD-player in Mojave from the EJECT button on the keyboard or in terminal. I have to take it out and push the front button. Does anybody know how to fix this? Chat GPT say´s that this is a system problem.
