DVD with subtitles!

Hello,

If I download a movie (.avi) and the subtitle (.str). How can I put it in a DVD and watch the movie with subtitle in a DVD player?

What apps do I need? What I have to do?

Easiest? Short of hiring someone to turn your computer on for you and run the software for you, yes.

Cheapest? It's free....

with quicktime you should be able to remove subtitles no problem. although this might only be with the pro version?

I do not want to remove subtitles...

I want to create a DVD from my Mac....with movie/serie and subtitle...and play it on my DVD Player!

Oh, sorry... I thought you meant putting it in a computer DVD playing program...hmmm... I have no idea how to re-integrate the subtitle stream while converting it to a burnable disc... hmmm....

Subtitle creation is traditionally a bit weak on OS X, but there are a couple of new apps out there.
