Why the hell does it take 8 minutes to burn (at 8x speed), and 15 minutes to verify?

Cause I want to know. Seriously.

I have no idea mate. You can switch the verification off, i never verify my stuff its almost 100% to be working fine.

It's been so long since I used the OS to burn a disk, so I forgot how to turn verify off. I always use Toast 7.

Me too - I always use Toast 7. There should be some setting somewhere. I know there is in Toast. And yes, I never verfiy anyway, and have never had any problems...

Before you actually start the burn turn off the verify option, I still have yet to toaster a Disc without it 🙂
