This is good. I was worried they were faling behind and was planning going to jump to maybe a Pixel or S8 but if the camera is that improved over the 7+ then I may just stick with the 8+.

Too be honest with the V30, Note 8 and the upcoming Pixel phones you are spoilt for choice and all of them including the 8 and 8 Plus will take excellent photos, just depends on preference but you cannot really go wrong.

Wow, very surprised with this score! I didn’t think the 8 Plus would be much different than the 7 Plus.

The 8 Plus is a better phone in every way than the 7 Plus. It's just not better enough for justify an upgrade for many people. But for those on 6S or below, this is a substantial upgrade.

To be fair, we need to wait for multiple comprehensive tests before we make claims for either phone.

The low light is far better on the Note 8. No tests
So you have done in depth comparisons between the cameras to determine this?

They did test the S8 though which got an 88, the same score as the iPhone 7 plus so the Note 8's camera could certainly be comparable

The low light is already miles ahead on the Note 8 lol. It has a 1.7 aperture and the low light pictures are absolutely mind blowing. iPhone 8 still doesn't compare.

Do you actually have an iPhone 8 to be making these statements?

Anyhow I think it's great that an iPhone gets a top score on DXOmark as it's been years since that last happened.
