Hi

I have a dying Lacie 2TB drive. It's only 1 year old but using constantly. Thankfully I have backed up everything apart from 3 files totalling 1.5GB.

The drive mounts ok, Disk Utility and Diskwarrior both say the drive is performing ok. All other files have been successfully deleted. When trying to remove, duplicate or copy the remaining 3 files the drive crashes and takes several minutes to return a finder disk error.

Can you suggest anything else to recover these three files?

I take it the files are of some importance?

If they are not, you can use Disk Utility to repartition the drive and most likely regain access to the storage space. The files, will be lost forever if you do this.
