I've watched numerous videos about the dynamic island now and I must say, the animations while nice, seem weirdly unfinished.
In two videos (The Verge (3:43) and MR (3:27)), I have seen the island animation cut into/go over the actual screen cut-out, leaving an imperfect edge and something that just looks buggy. Please see attached screenshots.
While I love the concept, I know such issues, as small as they may be, would bother me.

Is it maybe limited to a single size? Does anyone else see these issues?

All evidence suggests this feature was put in pretty late, so I wouldn't be surprised.

I'm sure Apple will have software updates for the island rolling out regularly. Any launch day issues will more than likely be cleaned up soon. Pretty hard to notice in actual use, if I'm being honest.

Can someone explain to me what your seeing in these photos?
What we see here is the actual screen cut-out (where there are no pixels) sticking out from under the dynamic island. It looks like the dead zone is poking through the edge of the dynamic island in some areas during the animations. When the island is not moving everything is aligned, but during the bouncing and jelly animations, there are overlaps. I also noticed it when the bubble is merging into the main island from the right.

Agreed, I am sure this can be fixed. Might just be worth bringing it to their attention. Maybe it only affects one size?

Privacy indicators also behave pretty weird. See the microphone indicator in the upper right…I thought it was supposed to be in the middle or am I wrong?

Interesting indeed. That might be a conscious decision though? Since the island is used by the call, a floating dot in the middle would look off?
