Loving my watch so far but there's one thing that's bugging me.

Not sure if anyone else has noticed this but on Instagram screenshots showing the app in action on the apple watch you can see a photo someone has posted right in the notification the apple watch gives you. (4th screenshot)

As I understand it this is called a dynamic notification as it includes a photo and not just text?
But mine never seems to do it and only gives me text in the notification to say someone has posted a photo but doesn't actually show me the photo till I go into the app and search for it. Anyone else seen this?

I don't use instagram, but have you tried clicking on the notification? I noticed with some apps with interactive notifications (what Apple calls them in iOS 8) that when there are more than a few notifications at the same time, the Watch shows an abbreviated version and if I click on it, then I see the full notification and the actionable options.

That link isn't working

Perhaps as was suggested you have to tap on the notification, which will then open the actual Instagram Watch App to see the screenshot you are referring to? I am not sure as I did not bother to install Instagram on my Watch - rather look at the photos on a larger screen.

It may not even open the App. I use Outlook for iOS and if I tap on the short notifications, I'm presented with almost the entire email and the same interactive notifications available on the iPhone -- just like dragging down on a banner notification on my phone.

Yeah when you tap the notification app symbol it will open Instagram but it won't take you direct that post, you have to hope the post you got the notification for is in the last 10 posts (watch only shows 10 newest posts). But looking at the Instagram screenshots in the link I provided it shows the posted photo right in the notification. I'm sure this is what they call a dynamic notification.

As stated by Instagram, the app is in it's early stages and they are still unlocking features.

I am also not seeing these 'dynamic notifications'.

Ah ok yeah I guess that makes sense, especially as they didn't have a watch to physically test it on, thank you :)

Just a suggestion (can't test myself as don't have the watch yet) but is it a short glance and long glance thing where it will show more which in this case would be the picture as well when you look at it for longer? Or is this feature only for native apps?
