iPod touch e-mail on itouch?

I know next to nothing about the iTouch. Can I receive e-mail on it? Can I send e-mail? Could I accesses my bank on it? I use a 12" iBook for this but if the iPod Touch would do the same, it would cut down on the weight to lug around. I use my desktop iMac 24" for my computing.😕

Thanks so much for the answer. Now I have no reason to carry the iBook. The iPod Touch will do all that I want when away from home in a small compact unit. Great!!😀
 
BofA has a mobile website & an app store app

I bank with BofA and they have a version of their website for the iphone/ipod touch. They recently also released an app for the app store for BofA mobile banking. Both work relatively well.
 
Maybe you guys can help me!? Ok so I really really want an Ipod Touch 2nd gen. You say that it can access email, and maybe online banking? I have never had an apple product or ipod and I am dying to get this iPod Touch 2. So can you guys help me out and tell me all it can do? Thank you so so much! 😀

Congratulations on considering buying the iPod touch. It can do far too much to type a list. This Apple site is quite useful.
