Have a hotmail account set up on my i4.

When it syncs, all messages imported are marked as unread. This is annoying, if most them already have been read on the hotmail website on the computer (or via windows live mail on the pc).

Is it really impossible for the iphone to sync read files as read and unread as unread?

I can take a long time to make 25 messages appear "read" on the iphone if they have attachments etc. Annoying work if you already know whats in the :mad:m

Any solutions?

I'm assuming that hotmail uses the POP protocol, in which case the answer is no.

If it used IMAP, then all changes would be recognized on all devices, but I don't think hotmail uses IMAP.

Maybe the app mBoxmail can take care of it... Or so it promises anyway...
