I’m so excited to be getting my new iPhone next week! I currently have the iPhone 14 on T-Mobile with 5 payments left. I’m not trading it in because I don’t want to lose the remaining credits. I’m financing the 16 with my Apple Card with no commitment to T-Mobile. My question is, when I receive the new phone, should I transfer the existing E-Sim from the 14, or just use the E-Sim associated with the new 16? I’ve never done this before, since I usually do a trade-in and the 14 is the only phone I’ve had with an E-Sim. Thanks for any advice.

You’re overthinking it.

If you want the number from the 14 on the 16, you’ll transfer the eSIM.

If you want a different number, you won’t.
