I have a 13 pro using e-sim since the first day. Starting today, my cell phone subscription will include 5G speed and I was wondering if e-sim has any impact on battery or speed compared to a physical sim.

Speed is not affected by the SIM.

Battery life - I would argue it makes no difference for all practical purposes. Phones needed to power a 3.3V or 5V SIM card for decades now, and they had battery live of up to two weeks with smaller batteries than we see today.

Nope, esim vs e-sim will be identical in battery life. 😄

However, e-sim vs physical sim again, you'll not notice a change however 5G connection can consume more battery. Depends on many factors.
