Ear piece doesn't work

I can't hear the other person but they can hear me unless i on the speaker phone then I can hear them

I can listen to music and everything else is fine

BTW I have a 3g iPhone jail broken and unlocked I use T-Mobile

You didn't say what "ear piece" you were using.

If this is a bluetooth headset, did you actually complete the pairing process? Did it work with the headset before the jailbreak? If this is the included Apple headphones with mic, does your Voice Memos app pick up on input?

If you have a set of headphones plug them into the phone and remove them and them reset
