Why doesn't anyone come up with foam covers I find foam much more comfortable a pliable? I've tried earskinz but to me if feels like you're just putting soft plastic over hard plastic, not ideal in my opinion.

You mean like these:

I've ordered these, according to some of the reviews on Amazon they work well with Earpods.

They do work. I've been using them for years. They are a pain to get on but after you do it a few times it get easier. Pretty much any of them will fit as they are all universal and about the same size. The biggest difference between different ones is how thick they are. The higher quality ones are thicker and don't rip easy. My first batch I bought was a pack of 400 for something like $10. I give them out like candy to my friends and family. But they are cheap, thin and rip easy when putting them on. I now have a pack of higher quality pack of 12.

I do find that the earphone foams start to flatten after a while. Every now and then I replace them and everything has extra bass for a while :)

I guess wax and dirt flatten them because I tried washing them in soapy water once and they puffed up again.

Some people on another forum were saying they make cuts in the foam where the holes and meshes in the earpods are to allow all the sound through. I did that with mine but it makes them look very untidy and the risk of ripping increases.

Check out what this guy did:

foam covers on top of earskinz. Sounds like a good idea for someone who wants that style of earphone.

I'll try this. I have a set of earskinz (I've tried everything) but never put foam on them. I imagine it's going to be a pain to get then on.
