earbuds with no earbowl

anyone ever find any earbuds that work without an earbowl? One of my ears does not have a earbowl and when the earbuds have to rest in there I have issues.

Looking to see if anyone knows anything - i would like something instead of streat style...

Have you tried any in-canal style headphones? I have the apple in-ear with remote and mic; you can even get 3rd party (Comply) caps for a more secure fit.

he doesnt have the little open area before his ear canal...normally where the earbud itself rests.

I would try IEM (inner ear monitors) or even customs (custom molds done of your ear by a audiologist).

I use a pair of SE530, they push inside your ear canal and are held by wrapping the cord around the top of your ear.

I've seriously been debating picking a set of these up after reading a review on the new 535.

I know this is totally subjective, but do you feel they worth it? I'm expecting some world class sound out of these puppies.

so are all the etymotic ones IEMs? so the (bigger part that doesnt go in ur ear does not need to rest in the ear bowl...
