Early 2006 Mac Mini boot issue

The bootloader on my Mac Mini is screwed up so it only boots into Linux. I have tried to reconfigure the bootloader via Linux to reset the bootloader so it would boot into Mac OS again, but I could not find a way for it to work. I have even tried resetting the SMC but that apparently didn't tell it to boot into OS X. What can I do?
