I have my early 2009 Mac Mini connected to my Denon AVR-E200 via Mini Display Port-HDMI for video & Mini Toslink to Toslink audio in for audio.

Now the issue is the audio has stopped working. The internal speakers work, headphones plugged into the audio out port work but when the Toslink cable is plugged in the audio does not work now. No settings have been changed. Anyone have a solution for this issue?

Check audio midi digital output settings. Make sure nothing is muted.
Check the toslink cable and confirm that it works
Check the receiver settings and confirm that the right input is selected
Check the receiver toslink input and confirm that it works

One of those is almost certainly your problem

Thank you I will check these. I'm leaning towards a failed Toslink Cable since the audio worked previously & no settings have been changed.

Anyone else had this issue?

Have you tried "reversing" the TOSlink cable, end-to-end? (if possible)

Have you tried substituting the TOSlink cable with another?

Finally had a chance to mess with this issue & it was a bad Toslink Cable. Made in China, go figure...
