Early 2011 -- Help needed! Throttling CPU.

Processor 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics Intel HD Graphics 3000
Software OSX 10.9.3 (13D65)

Just replaced the battery and did a SMC Reset, everything was working fine until I did an update with Safari that came out today, now the CPU Load from boot is sitting at 70% at least, averaging around 90%
Bad graphical lag, normally a restart will fix this, but it is constant now.
Open for suggestions.


I am willing to install team viewer for assistance.

Find which process is running highest on the CPU activity monitor...

Ok so its not Safari itself, but try disabling any extensions, resetting safari, removing any login items and rebooting from cold (i.e. shutdown then startup)

It actually performs like this before login, and in the recovery partition as well.
Nothing changed hardware wise.

Has a 120GB Kingston SSD, which I've done health checks on.

Just realized the fan is running full speed while it is operational.
Even when there is no heat.
