Early 2011 MBP 15" and Yosemite

I am starting this thread because I have not seen this question or answer:

Will Yosemite run or ruin my Feb 2011 15" MBP? Has anyone with a similar machine installed 10.10, and iof so what happened?

Installed it on my early 2009 MBP and it seems absolutely fine.
No issues so far (your mileage may vary!)
