I have the original 320gb HD on my early 2011 MBP. I need more storage, preferably 1TB, but 750gb would also work.

Is my best option the Seagate Momentus XT 750 GB 7200RPM SATA?

Are there any other options that are good?

Also, I want to buy a blank enclosure for my current 320gb drives...does anyone recommend any cheap ones?

I used the XT 500gb version in my late 2011 MBP and it was a noticeable improvement over the stock drive. Gave it to my son for use in his 13" MBP when I purchased an SSD. Based on threads here on MR the 750gb version is even better than its predecessor. As far as enclosures, the one I use is linked below.

I've been wanting to do this exact thing! Let me know what you decide to do!

Thanks man, it's good to know so many people like it. $150.00 is a lot to spend, but i'll see.

Thanks for the link, it looks nice...but i was hoping I can get something for $15-25 at most. :p I don't need tripple interface, i'd prefer FW800, but even usb 2.0 would be fine for me. I'll look on newegg and see though.

I mean it is nice cause its 2.5mm and 3 interface, but i really don't need all that for a 2.5 mm drive. Just something simple.

    Will do!
