Hi everyone, I'm new to Mac and this is my first time I have considered bought one. Here is the deal I am looking at: Early 2015 13.3 standard configuration for 1100$. The seller promised fully sealed package and not yet activated machine.

May I ask, is this a good deal. To be honest, I prefer any 15 inch RMBP but they are over my budget. Or better, is there any laptop under 1300$ that has similar performance to MBP and can run DOTA 2 at high setting?

Thank you for reading

To be honest if running a game is your main criteria then any windows laptop with a dGPU (NVIDIA 950M or better) will give you better gaming performance.

Nah, my gaming rig and X1 are used for games, not my laptops. The only games I often play on my lap are Ragnarok and a few Dota 2 matches everyday. Most Windows laptops are either overspeced for my needs or have too little juice. That's why I turn to Mac. Good all-rounder

I agree they are a good all rounder, thats just about your best bet then, to be honest in my opinion the 13 inch rMBP is currently the best performance/price/portability/battery life compromise you can currently get in a laptop.

You may want to wait a few months though as skylake will add a fair boost too graphics in the 13 inch if very little else.

Tks, but I think I will upgrade later whenever Skylake is available. My current financial status is a little tight leaving me no room to maneuver. Not to mention I'm going abroad in the next month so I kinda need to buy now

We'll my ? Is what are the specs, because you can buy 13 in. rmbp new for $1,100

Specks? B&H Photo has early 2015 13.3 rmbp $1,149 no tax free shipping, I would do that if specs are the same. I'd pay the extra $50 for piece of mind.

Sadly, I am not in the US. The price I mentioned in the title was changed into USD for comparision purpose only
