My phone was getting warm under conditions my 14 Pro wouldn’t, but disabling Background App Refresh on Instagram and Threads has fixed that issue for me.

No complaints or issues otherwise.

Phone feels very snappy and is much easier to hold vs my iPhone 13 PM. Battery is much better and feels like a big improvement.

USB-C though is annoying because I can’t charge at work, in the car, or with my power bank. I’ll have to buy new cables over the next few weeks.

No problems here either. Smooth glass to frame transitions, no excessive heat, great screen. Coming from a 13 Pro the larger screen is great, and the weight difference is hard to detect. Feels great in an Apple silicone case. Nice upgrade!

I also feel the camera yields more accurate colors. When I took photos with both phones the PM15 colors looked more like I was actually seeing. Also less processing.

I hear ya. Unlike most years, we got our Otterbox Defender Pro cases and Zagg XTR3 Glass Elite tempered glass screen protectors as well as the Anker USB C to C cables to arrive later this week. Already have plenty of 20w Anker bricks. Our iPhone 15 Pro Max 512GB in Natural Titanium has an in-store pick-up date of 10/6 based on a 9/18 pre-order date at Best Buy.

Sounds like a iOS patch might be helpful as well as app developers updating their apps rather than a hardware issue. We're asking these glass slabs to do more faster.

Major fan, I do have points where it lags a little and I need to throw something away.

That’s software and I know it’ll fix itself up.

The “overheating issue” is a creation of tiktok and youtube.
It's really not...do you have the 15 Pro? I do, and the first two days the phone got much warmer than any phone I've had yet (and I've had a new phone every year). It definitely wasn't "burning" as some put it, but it really got very warm to the point I felt something was wrong.

Interestingly, I broke my phone 2 days after I got it and the replacement hasn't done this.

I understand your concerns but, as you said, it’s not an “overheating issue“;

Nothing to be worried about Apple’s engineering this year.

The most fulsome answers to your question are here, here and at other spots in the forums. Mounting ominous reports. I'm pumping the brakes until the dust settles.

Oh my lawwwd, the 15 Pro Max is a hot dumpster fire, it’s terrible in every way, issues everywhere, ZOMGGGGG the worst iPhone evahhhhhhh!!!!

Now that we have the sarcasm out of the way, I have zero issues with mine. It doesn’t heat up and is a pleasure to use. So far, I’m particularly enjoying the increased speed (my prior phone was the 14 Pro and yes, the 15 Pro Max is noticeably faster), the 5X zoom and the USB-C port. The action button is a useful addition as well. In my use case, the increased screen real estate alone is worth the upgrade. It’s a great device.

It's been great got a 15 Pro Max on Launch day. Action button is so helpful. Haven't had any heat issues.
Love that it feels lighter.
