I stopped using Apple Pay months ago, simply because the TouchID is so damn unreliable.
It took me longer to finagle the stupid thing to read my fingerprint than the time it takes to pull out my credit card and even use the chip reader thing.

Ikr. My local Harris Teeter supported it for a while yet shopping moms crowded around me at the self checkout the other day like I was famous because they had no idea they did.Apple Pay is great, just not a lot of people accept it, or make it obvious enough even if they do.
So how does WeChat work? Holding up my iPhone with my thumb on the home button seems pretty seamless to me.Chinese users have complained that using Apple Pay is not as seamless as WeChat, Tencent's payment service.
... especially with in-app purchases.
So if you need carry your wallet all the time, why even bother to use Apple Pay?
In Australia we have a "Big 4" banks - ANZ, NAB, CommBank and WestPac. Only ANZ and Amex (which is not widely accepted) support Apple Pay.
Is it any wonder there's not much use of it?

I would have assumed countries that heavily used contactless payments already would be ripe for Apple Pay.
I think he was referring to the chip readers for credit cards that have an embedded chip. They take longer than pretty much anything else.No that's complete nonsense and he's either never used apple pay or lying. I have an iPhone 6 plus, technically the slowest device capable of using apple pay and the thing is god damn fast. He either has a faulty phone or not being honest with us about the wait time.
