Hi all. A few months back, I started having vague memories of a game that my brother used to play growing up, but neither of us can remember what it was. I'm wondering if anyone else played it back in the day. Below is what I remember (or think I remember):
- I believe we played it on the Apple Macintosh (128k)
- adventure game (possibly an RPG without combat?)
- text-based + simple black & white visuals
- top-down view of your character, and at least part of the game takes place outdoors
- at one point you find boots that allow you to cross streams
- the game ends(?) when you answer the riddle of the sphinx (What walks on four legs in the morning, two in the afternoon, and three in the evening?)
- there were other riddles/text inputs in the game
- my brother was able to beat it in a couple of hours
This has been driving me crazy... I'm hoping this game actually existed and that I'm not combining memories of several games in my head. Any help is appreciated!
