Do you think that Tim Cook is gonna go back on his word for an April release and instead offer a late march release? What do you think ?

No. His credibility will go down. It's in Apple's best interest to release it in April for that reason alone.

I could certainly see that being the case if it were to launch in, say, May, but wouldn't it look good for Apple if the Watch were to launch earlier than previously stated?

That said, I do think it will be either April 3 or April 10.

I very much doubt it, but we will find out tomorrow. I'm guessing either April 3rd or 10th.

His credibility won't go down for 'beating' a set launch date. It would only go down if it was later than stated.

No. I would bet they planned the March event a long time ago, the watch was delayed a few weeks, and they couldn't change the date with Yerba Buena Center. You don't just call up a week ahead and say we are having an event.

The announcements went out the day before Mobile World Congress and the Event is the first weekday after. Apple knows how to work a news cycle and steal the show. ;)

EDIT: Typos:eek:

I still think we might have in store units to try on, probably starting on Friday.

Would love an early release, could be they hit stores late March and ship worldwide in April.

If I was betting I'd say first week of April at least for the U.S.. I don't think it will launch on a Friday just because it will take more time to sell something personal vs a limited # of configuration iPhones or iPads.

What day do you think it'll launch if not Friday?

I think that it will launch on a Friday. If there is one product Apple wants to push and create lines for, it is the Apple Watch. If they launched it on any day but a Friday, there would not be the lines that normally accompany a new product and would cause Apple to lose publicity.

Tuesday if it launches first week of April. More than long lines Apple needs actual sales #s & malls are closed Easter Sunday. Also Apple isn't losing any publicity either way. The media's eyes are fixated on this lauch because its Tim Cook's grand hurrah or his funeral & they want a front row seat no matter what.

There will be lines regardless of launch day as well.
