Dear Abby,
I got the 42 Milanese. I really like it but don't feel I need it. And of course I don't NEED it but I may not even want it. Should I wait longer to use it in a few more circumstances or just return it now and save 740.00 dollars. It's cool and beautiful but I find myself needing and wanting my phone just as much???

Sincerely,

Confused in Philadelphia

In what way were the reviews spot on?

I am happy to meet you in Philly and pay you cash $750 on Monday. So save yourself a trip to Apple store and I don't have to wait for my order :apple: watch

If you are interested, PM me

Dear Confused,

Sounds like you're not really a customer for any $700 watch.

Love,

Abby

I'm giving it a week to decide on returning mine. This should be enough time to see how it works out as a fitness tracker or to prove its worth in some way I haven't foreseen yet.

The other issue is living with battery life. So far it is ok but if it does bottom out on me someday I could see it as being very frustrating.

Just see how it goes..

I'm struggling with this too. Should have got a sport version as really it's not good enough to justify £519.

I know I'm just being jealous, but am I the only one that finds it really annoying that some people who don't even care have a watch on launch day and are like: "I don't know... Should I keep it? Gee, what do you guys think?" when many of us are pining away looking at a month long wait to get our watches? :)

See if you can sell it at a profit to someone who is going to get theirs in June. If you can't sell it right away then just return it. But if you aren't sure if you want to keep it after trying it for a day then don't waste your money by keeping it.

And a month from now you will probably go through the same issues. I think a few sober commentaries from current users could be a great help in deciding whether or not you really want this thing.

Completely agree. So many 42 SS Milanese not shipped yet.

I am from Northern VA and I really don't mind do a 6 hour round trip to Philly if I am sure I can get it. Mine is in the second batch (4-6 weeks May 13-28)

I love mine...you have to take the watch for what it is and not thinking it's going to be something more

like i said before im in philly and ill gladly give you 900 for it then i can cancel my order with apple

You have 2 weeks to use before returning it. Use it all that time before deciding. But my guess is, after a couple of software updates, you'll wish you didn't return it.

People, don't get wrapped up in the "reputation" of the Watch. Use it the way you would use it and ignore the naysayers. Evaluate it based on how YOU actually use it, and how you perceive it subjectively. Never rely on the stupid reviews from idiot journalists.

I know I don't need it. But I've been wanting a watch for my runs/cycling so if I'm going to spend $$ on a nice gps watch might as well spend it on an apple watch. It's nicer looking and has a few more features I could use.

Apple Pay alone makes it worthwhile to me. Love running into the store and not having to pull out my wallet, then my card, then swipe, then reverse while everyone behind you stares as you return everything to your purse, grab your bags and walk away.

Just tap tap boop! I'm outta there...

Soooooo sweet....

Let alone everything else I am enjoying. Also the health tracking stuff.

Can't wait till I can check into hotels (other than Starwood) with it, use it as my boarding pass, pick up my rental car, etc., etc.

I'd say hang onto it. Just like with the original iPhones - what was the point really until apps took off? Apps will make the world go round with the watch.

I hear you, but I always what the highest quality goods, with highest quality materials, I figured if I loved it then I had the model I wanted, if not there's a return policy. That being said I didn't go into it expecting to return it but I knew it was an option

You don't have the highest quality Apple Watch, thats the one that starts at $10k...

I think its pretty simple. It's a WATCH. So, I kinda think the following questions self-select:

1) do you already wear a watch?

2) do you own an iphone?

3) Would you like to reduce your interaction with the iphone for many tasks?

If you answered YES to all 3, then the watch is going to be useful. If you answered no to any of them, it's much less likely you'll be happy with the watch.

See, simple.

Bonus: you get fitness functions and health tracking. That may or may not matter to you.

Not really. I made fun of the iPad and didn't not order one till the 2nd gen, and I love my iPad

I bought a Pebble watch a few months ago to see if the concept of a smartwatch was for me knowing the Apple watch was coming. After a few days I started seeing the benefits of not having to check my phone all the time to see if I missed anything or seeing notifications right away.

The Apple watch is just more of a complete product than my Pebble was. I'd probably have a hard time going back to phone only at this point.
