"Early upgrade"= F'ed up bill?

I'm just curious, by doing an early upgrade and restarting a 2 year contract, is my bill going to be all whacked out, higher and a general mess because I made changes on the account in the middle of a billing cycle?

Pro-rated and all that jazz?
