iPod touch Earphone recommendation?

Can anyone recommend any earphones that are better than the Apple ones.
Had enough of them as they always seem to f-up!

I do like beats by Dre or some Bose earphones, but I really don't like in-ear canal type earphones.
I prefer the conventional Apple type ones, just need some that can handle better base, higher vocals and don't bugger up after a couple of months usage.

I'm one of those people who refuses to pay loads for headphones but I usually find that a $20 Sony pair, of any kind, are a huge improvement on the white Apple headphones, and don't leak nearly as much sound.
