I’m not sure how I noticed this and don’t usually care, but my earpiece speaker is almost 1/2 white. It really depends on the angle but never noticed this on any iPhone before. My iPhone 15 Pro earpiece speaker is perfect after a full year. Just looks strange. Anyone else seeing this?

Figured I’d add a photo to show what I’m seeing.

Mine is obvious in normal light in the house. Maybe it hit from the right angle? Took the pic with my iPhone 15 Pro too. It’s so strange.

Put some music on and also make a phone call. Raise volume and notice any sound distortion from top earpiece speaker ?
The speaker sounds fine. Looked at my friends 16 Pro - Natural (mine is White) and his is similar. Same silver on the right side about 1/2 of the speaker.

Maybe it has something to do with improved mics? Or a weird batch issue?

Or maybe some glue on there. Perhaps use a Q tip and see if it can be removed ? I just took my case off to examine mine then realized I have one of those tempered glass screen protectors that has a mesh to protect the earpiece from gathering dust. Sorry.

Maybe I’ll try that out, but now I’ve seen it on 2 phones from 2 different stores. Just very weird and looks terrible once you notice it.

Black titanium 16 Pro here, mine is black.

It's not something I ever would have even noticed. I had to use a flashlight and wear my readers to even see it.

I never thought of it either but I can clearly see it during normal use in my room but the lights have to be on. Similar to my friends. Such a strange but I guess non important thing lol
