Easiest way to chop up lengthy .mp4 files?

I have some large-ish MP4 files that i need to split up into multiple chunks. What's the easiest/cheapest way to do that on a 2012 Mac Mini running El Capitan?

I've used Lossless Cut to do this.

Another for iMovie, although Quicktime will do some basic stuff.

The problem with using an app like iMovie is that it'll recompress the video. If this is just a matter of breaking the MP4 into smaller segments, then iMovie is not a great choice.

I've been using Lossless Cut on Windows for quite a while to chop video clips down to size to save storage space. It's fast and there's no loss of quality, and it's free if you download directly.
Presumably the mac version does the same.
