i haven’t ran a beta in a few years. What’s the easiest way to install the gold master iOS 12? Also are there any downsides to doing it now vs waiting until the official release Monday?

I just updated my iphone x from 11.4.1 to 12gm and its like 1.6gb and i deleted the beta profile after.as mentioned above this is the final build that we are going to see next monday.

Yes, even if it isn't, you will be prompted to update.

I also downloaded the full IPSW at 3.3 GB and installed through iTunes. I have done so before with GM of previous iOS releases. This time from the time I began the download to the time that my phone was booted up with iOS 12 was maybe 35 minutes total.

Beta profile is a free download from Apple iOS Beta page. After installing the beta profile, you can install iOS 12 GM.

For Watch, if you’re not a registered developer (paid), you may find the watchOS profile available from Google Search (do it at your own risk), and install the profile to your Watch. After that, you will see the software update available in the Watch app on your iPhone.

The update on the Watch (I have the Series 3 already..) was painfully slow and took me several hours. So plan ahead.

Same experience. Not sure there is a risk getting profiles elsewhere as the installs get vetted by Apple servers or they won't install.
