We have an older BROTHER MFC-5860 All in One printer, which we print to using our wifi from our current PC.

I've been doing some reading, and most of what I've indicates the printing apps do not work too well and are hit and miss.

What is the easiest and least expensive way to print anything to include web pages, notes, documents, emails, etc. from the ipad2?

Thank you

I am looking at an air print compatible HP printer from apples website, any got any experience with these. Will be using it mainly for mac but would like to print stuff from iPad too.

ePrint on new HP Printers is the way to go. You just connect the printer at home and then e-mail anything you want to print from iPad from anywhere to the printer. Airprint on new HP Printers also works pretty well. The entire home is set up with WiFi so I can print anytime.

I use an HP eStation with AirPrint

This is exactly what I have, fantastic printer...has a web printing feature as well, i can print to my home from anywhere. Very good airprint support too, easy setup also, and not too expensive.

Have you hard wired it to your PC/MAC via USB and checked their support page for manual downloads to initiate updates. Everytime I have updated I either hard wired it to my mac and ran updates I got for their site, problem is I dont have the foggiest idea of the url and I'm on my work PC at the moment.

Sometimes too, I'll give it a hard reboot and that iron out the one or two issues I have.

EDIT:
This the general site I pull any info for the printer, hope this helps, sorry i can't be more direct at the moment http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-All-in-One-Install-Setup/bd-p/Install
