It is my *personal* opinion that, although Delicious Library is super awesome on the desktop, it is horrible when I'm in the bookstore.
The makers of the software don't seem to give a damn about it, either.
I'm trying to come up with a relatively easy way for me to make sure I don't buy a second copy of a book, fill out a series, or whatever, and what I've come up with is this:
1) Export some fields (like author, title, isbn, w/e) to a CSV.
2) Yell at DL for opening Numbers.
3) Uploading the .CSV to Google Docs.
4) Yell at Google for doing something stupid during the import process
5) Freeze the first row.
6) Yell at spreadsheets for demanding skills I don't have.
7) Deleting everything that is not a "Book" (because I can't figure out how to make DL only export books, as opposed to iTunes, gadgets, pets, etc.)
8) Check that it looks okay on my iPhone.
9) Yell at step 8 for not following the pattern.
10) Drink a glass of water.
Is there a better way? More over, is there a way to automate some of this, so I don't have to yell so much?
