Easy Firewire cable Q

New MBP 2.16 arrives this week. Isn't Firewire the fastest mode of transfer for files between it and my old PB G4 Ti (400mhz)? If so, which cable do I need:
6-pin/6-pin male/male or female/female? Thanks much.
