I'm doing this for work. We don't have anything fancy on our work computers for this (just basic Office apps) so I figured I'd use my MacBook for this.

Basically, I'm trying to edit a PDF to add some additional information and take out a couple of things (page numbers, really) and we're going to have this printed out into a large poster/sign.

I tried editing it in Preview but couldn't get the right fonts and the alignment was hard (it's not snapping into place with the guidelines). After some googling, I opened the PDF with Word. I was able to edit what I needed but when I saved it as a PDF, the edited parts were very clear when zoomed in but the rest of it gets blurry, like the vector fonts or whatever they're called were changed.

Are there any other apps I can use to help with this?

If you have a good photo editing app on your mac it may well do the job for you.
I have used Affinity photo several times and it manages to get it exactly right very easily.

I have Pixelmator 3.9.11 Classic. I'll try using that. I wasn't sure what it would do with a PDF.

I used overlays in Preview and it seems to work. But I can't figure out how to add in a QR code.

Edit... Pixelmator didn't work. Unless I'm missing a setting. It took a screenshot or whatever and converted all the text from vector graphics/text to pixelated images. This won't work as we plan to blow it up to a 4'x3' poster.

Edit #2... If I have to pay for some software to make this happen, which is the better one to buy? Preferably on the App Store, but this isn't necessary. I'd rather buy one now and be able to use it into the future, if that's what I need to do.
