OK so I am new to macs so don't blast me for this but..
What is the keyboard shortcut to access the menu bar on a macbook? (akin to the alt key on XP). I have read it is 'Ctrl F2' but on the macbook I am using that just adjusts the brightness?? 😕

The link knows all

i dont think there's such thing on the Mac side. i was looking for it too, since i was using Windows for 10 years.

it is control + f2 to access the menu bar, however, since you are on a macbook, you need to hold down function as well.

I'm looking for another shortcut...

I use CMD+Tab to cycle through my open applications, and when I select one it shows up in the menu bar. However, the app stays "minimized" (for lack of a better word) in the dock.

Is there a shortcut (other than Quicksilver) to open the app that is showing as active in the menu bar?

Thanks.
