I have a macbook pro and i want to reinstall mac os x.
When i get past langauge selection it says it cant install it and gives me choices to either restart or restore from backup disk.

the disk im using is a 13 inch macbook pro disc, mac osx install dvd ver 1.2 for os verion 10.6.7 but my laptop is 10.6.8.

so what do i do?

Are you trying to do a clean install? If so then format the disc using disc utility through the os x disc and see if that helps. Maybe you have a bad disc?
 
im not that tech savy so how would i reformat it?

ohyeah btw i cant get to disk utility through the disc, just tried

to Mac-Key, actually no it didn't, it came from my technology teacher from school, but it should work...rigght?
 
im just gonna take this to apple store, i have warranty btw but thank you guys,i learned a little from this :D
