Easy split screen shortcut!

I have seen a lot of comments about split screen disappearing or being awkward to use.
But I have just discovered an easy shortcut don’t know if it was there before I think it was.
It works perfectly

I don’t have a need for it but it’s really easy as I just tried. Just open Shortcuts and search for “Split Screen” action. You select your two apps and that’s it.

Thanks was not aware of that. Still no where near as easy as Split Screen or SlideOver. Appreciate the tip though! 🙂

Yeah, I have a number of shortcuts on my iPad to launch preselected apps in split-screen. Pretty handy.

Same here. I saw so many concepts on iOS showing Split View on iPhone.

But that never happened. Nor did slide over or stage manager, due to limited screen space.

Only Picture in Picture from iPadOS 13 came into existence on the iPhone a year later.


I Split View on my MacBook Pro or use the Tiles app to tile my windows with keyboard shortcuts.
