If i want to text suppose like 50 people at once, on my other phones I can go to my address book and put a checkmark on all the names press select and boom I'm done, is there an easy way on iPhone instead of selecting one at a time it takes ages

Easy way to Mass/Group text?

And thank goodness! The only time mass texts like that should be sent is from a business, or something where people have opted in!
My Victoria's sales...superb! A general person sending one thing to tons of people is just rude!
You're sooooo right!!! Who the hell wants options!?!?! Apple knows what I want to do and should be doing it and they get it 100% right every time!
Indeed and in fact I do own a business and my biggest gripes are:
Group Contacts
Call Log is SUPER SHORT ( by 2 pm daily my call log is full)
Group Texting
Ability to group texting where the messages are separated and the replies include the original text
when i changed my number, i looked for a solution

To other potential customers: please take a look at the FAQs if using iOS5 because some settings have to be changed in the device settings app. If in doubt send an email to support, we try to reply in at max 12 hours.
Sorry but most are going to vote no on the group texts. I am glad they do not have them as people like you would be taking advantage and spam us night and day.
If you want a real business phone get the GS2. It will allow you to text hundreds at a time!
I have friends who do that and after a while it get old. Believe it or not all of your friends do not wish you to send them this cr^p everyday! Most just tollerate it.
We should be able to create groups on iPhone contact, that would solve many problems and complains. You can send SMS/iMessage to one whole group without picking them one by one.
Make it viewable as category just like we can do to music on iPhone, we can opt to view them sorted by name, phone number, group, or location (address/city/country)
If Apple truly want to take down RIM with iMessage, they should do it right, the strength of BBm is the ability to grouping contacts, and showing status, honestly it's 99% YM with sophisticated pin as personal ID

But I can block send texts easy enough anyway. Just enter a name in the field and they show up, hit enter type the next one and so on. In fact thats much faster than scrolling through and checking next to each name because hitting A brings up entries, b the same and so on.
Only thing I really miss is same as other poeple, groups.

This "feature" could be used for more than spamming. You know like making plans with a group? I constantly text the same 6 guys to see who's down to golf and sending individual messages is a pain!

You don't have to send individual messages. Just goto iMessage, choose new. Put in first contact. Press enter/return. Put in next contact in same section. Repeat till all names are in. Write your text in box at bottom. Hit send. It will then appear as a group. You can create groups this way by not deleting the iMessage. I did it earlier.

I don't even tolerate it! The first time it happens I tell someone to knock it off, if it happens again, they'll no longer be texting me!
I use group text all the time. Granted nothing large. But my band uses it coordinate practice and what not.
I just go in an add each person separately. However, if I could create a group, I can see that as a nice feature. Surprised by all the negatives on something like this actually.
