Final value fees for a $306 sales price for an iPhone would be around $17-18, not $30.77, since the iPhone is in the electronics category.

Perhaps mine was higher because I set a reserve price or something. But I can promise you I paid eBay $30.77 after selling my iPhone 4.

Is there some exemption for the electronics category? According to eBay the final value fee is 9% on any item sold, excluding real estate.

I'm currently in the process of trying to sell on CL. Have it listed for $325. Expecting to get at least $280 for it. So many lowball offers....or worse...scammers.

This is so frustrating.

Can you just take the iPhone into an Apple store to get the $200 or do you have to mail it in?

unlock it and put it up on craigslist or Ebay... even after the fees you should make more than the trade in value they want to give you.

Just sold my 16gb iPhone 4 in Minneapolis today for $325. Listed it on Craigslist and had 5 texts within an hour. Most tried to offer $300, but I held firm. No problem and no fees, except for gas to meet.
