eBay prices

Anyone have an idea of why the prices for the iPhone 5s are still so high on eBay? Are supplies still low enough for the markup to be worth it?

That's exactly why.
You want one now you either pay higher prices or order one from Apple and wait 3 weeks to get it.

I could see that right after launch, but if you've waited this long, why not just get it at retail instead of paying the markup. There's not reason to pay someone else a premium for standing in line/ordering early. I'd rather save that cash and wait, but maybe it's just me.

I'm the same way😀
But there's plenty of people that will pay it and that's why the prices are still up there.
If no one paid extra to get it now then those auctions wouldn't sell at all.
