The worst eBay experience I have had was I shipped a CD player to some dude in canada. I shipped via UPS and said I was going to do so. He was upset that I didn't use USPS and wanted a refund on shipping cost (UPS was actually cheaper). I said that I stated that I was shipping via UPS and basically he can suck it.

Turns out he gave me positive feedback, and had received the item. Probably trying to get some money back over nothing.

Sucks the position that you are in though, sorry to hear about that.

UPS usually charges exorbitant brokerage fees when shipping to Canuckistan. USPS is usually WAY better. He's an SOB, however, if it was known how you would be shipping beforehand.

A little update, I sent paypal some of the proof that I had "Conversations with other members of ebay with similar problems with this buyer, and other proof that I can't discuss". I also sent them an affidavit explaining the problem, they will investigate and let me know the outcome, I have been holding back of messing with this guy if paypal decides on my favor I will leave things like it is, if paypal decides to his favor, I for sure will not sell more on ebay or receive payments thru paypal, and I will make sure this guy never scam someone else in the future.

I just took the phone to my old job and used their microscope camera and you can see that screws of the cover have dust acumulated inside the philips head and you can notice that the screws were removed recently because of the scractches on the screw and dust. also the surroundings of the hole were the screw goes is scracthed on the edges meaning that someone used a big screwdriver and scratched the plastic surrounding while taking the screw out. I have never touched those screws.

Exactly. I sold recently a couple of items on eBay to folks in Canada, and they prefer USPS due to extra taxes and/or brokerage fees when shipping with UPS.

Paypal used to be a lot better about refunds way back when they were independent.
eBay has hampered a lot of it, and put in a lot more protocols that have made scamming grievances a pain to go through.
The main problem with these is that there are so many sellers that don't fully document and have proof of everything that they sell. In this case, it seems like the OP will get his full refund and Lexus will be getting prosecuted by an United States District Attorney.

Someone did something similar to me...

Chargebacks are a pretty popular scam these days.

I just sold something on ebay and am thinking of backing out actually. Its a $500.00 item, and I am just scared to death of getting scammed via a chargeback.

If it happens I think that I would hop on a plane and beat the living crap out of the guy...
