Recently there was a dedicated meebo app released for the iPhone which people seem to like it. Now I have been usin the ebuddy free version for my msn messenger. Now is there any big differences between these two apps when it comes to the msn messenger portion
    of it?

I have used them both. It seems that Meebo keeps you logged in for a much greater amount of time than eBuddy does. In fact, I do not know if it logged me off yet.

If you aren't going to pay for an IM client I think Meebo wins. For free, go with Meebo. They released an update last night in the US that fixes the crashing bugs. Probably needs a bit more work, but for free it can't really be beat.

If you're willing to pay some money there are better solutions.

The big feature of meebo is you can go to their website and login without logging you out of the iPhone client. So if you want to switch a conversation to your computer, you just login and any active conversations open on your iPhone client automatically open up on the browser version. Having the history sync is a great feature as well.

Meebo appears to keep you logged in for 24 hours. I received a push earlier today that said "Your session has been terminated", and I believe that was around the 24 hour mark since I last opened the app. I may have just been logged off due to a server error though, and session times are actually longer.

The biggest thing that made me keep Meebo and delete Ebuddy was how quickly Meebo loads. Ebuddy's load time is much too long so anything that is faster wins hands down.

I use ebuddy for msn , eBuddy Pro to be exact and I love it. But everytime you are usinbg the app and you recieve an SMS , and you tap that away ebuddy pro has to login again.

Im just waiting for that multitasking feature :D

I love this. I have BeeJive also but found that I didn't use it much because it interferes with my desktop clients. Now if Meebo could make a nice dedicated Desktop App and include a way to merge contacts it would be perfect.

I think the idea is to not have to install anything and have all of your contacts where ever you are.
