Hi

I was wondering if anyone knew how to stop .DS_Store files from being displayed in Eclipse, eg in the navigation view. I've added .DS_Store to the Java compiler 'Filtered Resources' option but can't find any option or settings to stop them being visible in general.

Thanks

Solved!

In the Navigation view there is a little white arrow which has an option to hide all .* files.

I have to use an Eclipse-based IDE at work now. Hate it. I'd like to get Shift Left/Right bound to key shortcuts, but I haven't the time to figure out if I can or how I can.

At least control-F brings up the Find panel instead of changing every third line to 'foo = bar' or some such Windowsy nonsense.

Yup, I have had to start using Eclipse too. Can't say my experience has been wonderful so far.

I have had problems with Eclipse on Mac OS X (one being the fact that, every time you update the IDE and restart it, or change workspaces, it creates a new dock icon), but must use it for various reasons.

That said, I have never seen the problem with .* files showing up in the navigator. I'll keep that in mind.

Bit of a pain I know but if you quit and relaunch it gets rid of the extra dock icon.
